| The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car built in 1966. The idea behind came from the Ford GT40. This specific type of car with the mid-engine placement inspired Lamborghini to build their own super car for the road. The Miura is a name taken from the ferocious Spanish fighting bulls. An one-off Miura Jota was designed by Lamborghini Development Driver Bob Wallace in 1972. It was built in his spare time, during evenings and week-ends. However, this unique Jota doesn't exist anymore. The car caught fire and was completely destroyed. |
